Schwab Realized Cost Basis Reporting Issue

We are currently monitoring an issue affecting realized cost basis data received from Schwab. Schwab has identified an unintended change to the format of realized cost basis files involving wash sale transactions.

As a result, certain disallowed wash sale amounts may be reported differently than expected, which can cause realized gain/loss values to appear overstated in Orion. The issue is limited to Schwab accounts with wash sale transactions.

Schwab has acknowledged the issue and is actively working on a resolution. Until a correction is implemented, we recommend carefully reviewing realized gain/loss and tax lot cost basis data for affected Schwab accounts.
